Mixer and Mix Buses

Shortcircuit XT has an internal mixer with 21 stereo buses:

  • MAIN
  • BUS 1 to BUS 16, one for each part
  • AUX 1 to AUX 4

Every bus has four effect slots, a pan, a level and a meter. Every bus except MAIN also has mute, solo and a plugin output. Part buses also have four aux sends.

The internal buses are not the plugin’s outputs. Each part and aux bus is routed either into MAIN or to one of the plugin outputs Out 1 to Out 20. MAIN always goes to Main Out.

By default every bus goes to MAIN, so the whole instrument plays through the plugin’s first stereo output.
