Open sourcing your freeware

You made an awesome plugin, and you were cool enough to share it for free. Maybe your life has gone in another direction, and you don’t have time to keep working on it. We are an open-source community that would love to carry your work forward into the future!

If you would like to know more about open sourcing your audio plugins, please reach out to us on GitHub, KVR, our Facebook group, or join our Discord. We might very well be able to help maintain them if you decide to open source them.

We generally work with the GPL3 license for plugins and the MIT license for libraries. If you aren’t familiar with open source licenses, we are happy to talk with you about how they work and what it would mean to adopt one. In some cases it’s a great idea, but it may not be the right choice for everything.
